1975

Unsatisfied with the production job on 1974's "Nightlife", Phil Lynott took control of the helm for the production of 1975's "Fighting". The result was one of the nastiest 70s guitar rock albums in history. Gorham and Robertson have never sounded better than on the guitar duel of "Suicide" or the magical harmonies of "Wild One". If your collection is missing this collection of swashbuckling cowboy songs, then you need to remedy the problem quickly.

1975 also saw the release of BUDGIE's "Bandolier" album. Considered by many to be the "last of the golden era" BUDGIE albums, "Bandolier" showcased Shelley and Bourge at the height of their creative powers. Just take a listen to the wrecking ball riff in the second half of "Napoleon Bona Parte I & II" for evidence. Plus other killer texts like "I Can't See My Feelings" and "I Ain't No Mountain" has pretty much made this our favorite BUDGIE album (at least for this week). There was definitely "something in the water" over in Cardiff, Wales in the early 70s.
