  • Only a few songs on this one, so I'll keep it brief. THE CARPET KNIGHTS ahve been around for a few years now, and have had a total of four releases. The first three releases have had three songs each, and this new one has got four songs on it. I think they should just take the thirteen songs and release them all together under one title, because it is hard to know what a band is all about after four songs. The band is a prog-70's-acid-psych hybrid, a great bass sound, a little flute here and there, a follow-the-leader kind of riff approach, very easy to listen to. Not really a "metal" band, but very cool nonetheless. "Ageless" kind of reminds me of SKYNYRD a little, for the drawl in the vocals, and a sort of southern-tinged guitar sound. "Zonked" reminds me of the direction that the HELLACOPTERS are taking, a more mainstream version of Swedish rock. The last song, "All Be The Same", has a very strong resemblance to "Crest of a Knave"-era JETHRO TULL, with some above average flute action. THE CARPET KNIGHTS are Mattias (drums), Manne (flute, vocals), Tobbe (guitar), Nils (bass) and Jocke (guitar, vocals). If you go to their website below, you can listen to some of their older stuff, and check them out. Peace and bellbottoms.
