This album begins with the vocals “hmmmm”, then what sounds like a F18 fighter jet flying overhead. Then you get an “ohh ohh ohh…come on…yeeeahhhh”! Well, I hope you get the picture. This is struttin', pomp metal all the way. Vocalist JORN LANDE has a huge list of bands that he has played with, including THE SNAKES, VAGABOND, ARK, BEYOND TWILIGHT, NOSTRADAMUS and others. This is his third solo effort. He is touted as being one of metal’s great classic vocalists and from this effort, I would say that he probably is.

Jorn has enlisted HAMMERFALL’s Mangus Rosén on bass, and Jörn Viggo Lofstad (G.) and Stian Kristoffersen (Dr.) from PAGAN’S MIND. With such accomplished musicians, you would expect a high level of quality in both musicianship and production. In those respects, "Out to Every Nation" is flawless.

The songs are quite varied, with ball-tearing rock moments, ballad moments, and stuff in-between. Included on the album are elements of classic metal, as well as commercial hard rock and power metal. I believe that fans of these genres would love this album.

I must say that this album was better than I thought it was going to be. Jorn’s vocals are powerful, he sings with passion. The guitar, bass and drums demonstrate a high level of mastery as well. However, this music is not really what I usually get into. There are elements that I really hate - cheesy lyrics, flamboyant posturing and the production is so clean you could eat off it. Fans of the genre though, would love this album; and after a few listens "Out to Every Nation" does grow on you.
