  • SKELETONWITCH - "Worship the Witch" EP, 2006 (Private)
  • Down right bewitching.
  • This Cleveland, OH five-piece is bringing back the glorious abandon of classic thrash. From the up tempo, driving rhythms of drummer Derrick Nau, to the nuanced, NWOBHM flavored guitar interplay of axe-wielders Nathan Garnette and Scott Hendrick, to the over-the-top vocal delivery of Chance Garnette, there's something here for every metal fan to latch on to. While Garnette's vocals will probably be off-putting for some, it can't be denied that his voice fits this music perfectly. He truly sounds like a witch being burned at the stake. Fans of MERCYFUL FATE and SODOM better seek these guys out before they end up as the Metal Maniacs magazine cover story they are fated to become.

This EP is only four songs long, with each song clocking in at less than three and a half minutes, so the listener is never given a chance to be bored. SKELETONWITCH take care of business quick, and are on their way well before the bleeding stops. And no, your cab fare is not on the dresser.
