Since Blowfly signed on with AT, I should have guessed this was coming (or should I say cumming) at some point. The self proclaimed “original rapper” who originated his shtick in the early ‘70’s was destined to do this considering his current Miami, Florida lineup’s roots in punk rock. Not that guitarist Chris Chavez does not have the funk and soul down pat, it’s just that this material transpires more naturally from him. And I must say it was quite exciting to hear the first few demos as he gave me some samples from the stereo of his bitchin’ Camaro. Or was it a Firebird. Fuck if I can remember to save a dying dog in the street. My bad, nigga.

Anyhow, what we get is a parody of punk songs. If you the know the whole Blowfly trip, then you know he was doing his X-rated parodies long before WEIRD Al was doing his G to PG-rated parodies. OTIS REDDING’s “Sittting On The Dock Of The Bay” transforms into “Shitting On The Dock Of The Bay”. R. KELLY’s “I Believe I Can Fly” becums “I Believe My Dick Can Fly”. So here, we get THE CLASH’s “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” transforms into “Should I Fuck This Big Fat Ho”. BLACK FLAG’s “T.V. Party” appears as “V.D. Party”. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” twists into “Stick It Down down Your Throat Bitch”. “Come Out and Play (Keep Em’ Separated)” changes to “Gotta Keep Her Penetrated”. Being that this is a collection (or should I say erection) of punk ditties and the fact that this is on A.T., you gotta expect the requisite JELLO BIAFRA appearance. THE DEAD KENNEDY’s “Holliday In Cambodia” is substituted with “R. Kelly In Cambodia”. There are more titles a plenty but me thinks I should stop here. Let’s just say that the camp humor, magnificent musicianship and tight as a virgin arrangements (derangements) make this disc a whole lot of fun.
