This is going to be my shortest review ever, because there’s really nothing much to say here. ONE DEAD THREE WOUNDED is nothing more than the same screamo hardcore/melodic death crap that’s been stinking up Headbanger’s Ball ever since its resurrection on MTV2. You already know what this sounds like before you press play, because the exact same all-too-familiar characteristics are here too: obnoxious one-dimensional vocal chord abuse, C tuned guitars playing the same tired harmonization of thirds, and the same fucking song structure that every single other band of this genre repeats over and over again. The lyrics say nothing and exist solely for “sounding cool” while screamed. I have no idea how this style has existed for as long as it has, and why record labels insist on over-saturating the market with this garbage, but it’s gonna have to end soon because I can guaran-damn-tee that I’m not the only one getting bored as fuck with it. For those kids that still waste their money on this pathetic excuse for music, I recommend you check out that IRON MAIDEN band whose shirts are in your local Hot Topic (the guitar harmonization was ripped directly off of them anyway) and work your way thru metal’s history from there. In the meantime, if you absolutely need metal TV on Saturday nights, Metal Mania on VH1 Classic is just a few channels away.
