No, this not a solo album from the most notable of THE SCORPIONS four drummers. It’s a full on old-school crusty grindcore group. We are talking EXTREME NOISE TERROR, early NAPALM DEATH, DOOM and TERRORIZER. They even cover NAPALM DEATH and DOOM, so there is no mistaking as to where these guys are coming from. This mini-disc contains 15 little ditties that slam you hard and leave the room rather briskly. I was kind of surprised at how short “Too Late For Peace” is, but old crustcore compositions tend to whiz by. Unlike label mates WOJCZECH, this bunch stick to straight-up grind. For this reason, I cannot see this getting nearly as many spins as that more diverse combo. Those guys have also been around the block many more times, so it stands to reason that HERMAN RAREBELL may progress as well. Until then “Too Late for Peace” will have to do. It does just fine for now.
