Opener "The Time You Spend" makes one thing clear: this is garage rock the way we like it! The ripping harmonica gives it a gritty Delta swamp touch. "The Life You Have" is uptempo garage punk and "It's Ok" is sixties garage beat recalling early WHO stuff. "Hey Mama" continues and could be a MC5 leftover. Vocalist Felipe has an okay voice, but not as haunting as some others in the genre.
THE COME N' GO are from Switzerland, and this band knows how to get the parting going. On this disc, there's something missing though: blood, sweat and tears. It sounds good, but it's missing that last final touch that this kind of music needs. While other bands like JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION and THE OBLIVIANS really had that raw edge, something's missing here. But I'll bet when you see a live show it's all there. Maybe if they try to capture that live feeling on the next album, a real classic will come out of it. Fans of trashy garage rock with a real sixties flavor need to keep an eye on this band however. Great things could be on the horizon from THE COME 'N GO.
