  • THE LAST VEGAS - "Seal the Deal", 2006 (Get Hip)
  • More bitch slap rappin and cocaine tongues.

  • Get Hip is usually a pretty straight label. This is a pretty straight release. It's part testosterone rock a la BUCKCHERRY's late-AEROSMITH histrionics but with a good dose of THE RASPBERRIES or BIG STAR and a touch of ponk rawk grit. This has good white boy soul to it and a good crunching backbone as well. It's what a band like THE WILDHEARTS wish they could pull off.

I really wish I'd had this for my buddy's birthday fiasco. There were punks, metallions, wrestlers and other freaks abound and we couldn't agree on shit. This would be a nice common element in the way that many classic bands are. I don't need to list them off because if you don't know - you just don't know. Anyways, the burgers and dogs were cooking, the booze flowed, the cheeb was sparked, dirty deeds were done, and in the end we watched a kid slow motion ride a bike into the pool for the coupla measly bucks I'd rounded up. Of course, I threw the money into the pool so he had to fish it out along with the bike. Fuck, now that I recall, the neighbor kids were out and I chased 'em off with a Michael Jackson mask. That's every kid's nightmare I tell you.

This is up there with all the might and fury of AMPS II ELEVEN, MIDNIGHT EVILS, HELLACOPTERS, etc. I can see them playing with THE DRIP (also from Chicago) in some shit box like Phylis' while the booze flows and the switches corrode from fine powders. Death and destruction 100 knots ahead. Don't get me wrong - future Iggys and Johnnys they ain't. But, you can tell that they got no problems gettin down to the nitty gritty. These boys like 'em 12 pack pretty and don't might ending the night banged up and dragged out. So fuggit. There ain't much more to say is there?
