How weird is it that this label got in touch with me for a trade the same day this showed up in the mail. I've been super-busy with recording, playing, mail, car problems and this along with my other review disc were my soundtrack sort of (as much as I could fit them in between a new OUT COLD, new ANNIHILATION TIME, and CLOCKCLEANER that is) So, yea, now you expect me to explain it to you I guess. Well, it's kinda like death metal crossed with that metalcore jazz like CONVERGE meets NAPALM DEATH or something with COALESCE in there somewhere.
Really there isn't much more to say than that. They break zero new ground, but do what they do efficiently. I wouldn't be shocked to find out they are European. Yep, looks like they are Polish. I sure like DEZERTER a lot but this is kind of just redundant. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it because for fuck's sake you dunno how hard it must be for them to put out music. So in this case, yes, the effort should be rewarded. Think about trying to record in what is still kind of a decimated area. Not much comes from Poland because of financial issues, so pretty much anything from there should be checked out.
Regardless, even if I'm not up for trading with them, which was what the label wanted, you should check out a copy of this CD. We just don't have many copies of our EP left, so it makes no sense to send them half way around the world when we need them here to sell. There's nothing worse than seeing a band you like and hearing that they don't have any copies of their record for sale but you can write to Poland for a copy. So who wants to run to the post office for me to mail out records?
