  • Steady diet of Dischord?

  • FUGAZI-esque? FUGAZI-ish? Kind of. I'm really at a loss on what to say about this. Its tense and emotional but what music isn't? I think I'm more impressed with the fact that the band name rhymes with Shaba Ranks. Anyone recall that ugly mf? Anyways, it has the feel of mid-period Dischord stuff. As a matter of fact, if they weren't from Indiana, if they were from DC they would probably fit on that label. Its really well written and very adept. I bet if they had a band photo it would be a blurry live shot. It was actually a breath of fresh air to hear this. I haven't heard a band like this since EQUATION OF STATE from Canaduh from roughly 10 years ago. This not being on Dischord strips away the smarmyness I perceive from some of the bands on that label. Makes it more basic and real.

I could probably go dig thru my records and find something that would be comparable but to be honest it's a beautiful day out and I'm really tired for some reason. Plus, it would mean not watching the movie that's on TV and I just can't do that. I would rather sit here and enjoy this movie. I mean really! Samuel L. Jackson or music right now? Sam wins. Fuuuuck. I suppose I should say some fancy $10 words to make you buy this thing but that's really on you. I think it's good. I guess you should buy ten and if you don't like it at least you have coasters. Whatever. It's not quite MOTÖRHEAD, but what is?
