  • These guys are just another cog in the emo-screamo machine. They bring little of anything new to the table and like most of their musical peers they are fairly annoying. Like most bands of their ilk they have one guy singing the wimpy stuff and another wimp trying to do the abrasive stuff. The problem I have with these guys trying to sing tough is that they still sound like 90-pound weaklings from the suburbs of Pittsburgh. Skinny guys with stupid haircuts, trendy cloths, makeup and the world of pain and sorrow sitting on their shoulders just does not do it for me. Not that hard bands should look and sound as jock like and sub moronic as BIOHAZARD, but come on guys. And really, let us lighten up a little bit. Shall we? Lyrics like “My heart is broken and there’s blood running down the wall” and “Doctor please take me to the rooftop so I can jump right off. You don’t mind cleaning up my guts? I don’t care if you and your friends watch me die” are just downright depressing and well…kind of stupid. I will admit that the guitar tone, killer riffs and top-notch rhythm section are all there in a tightly woven musical passage. This is largely the case with most of these mope metaller’s peers as well. The chops are there for sure. The creativity and originality are definitely not. I’ll pass.
