It's obvious upon first listen to "Science is Dead" that the BPS guys have studied a lot of classic noisy punk. The opening title track comes off as pure, unadulterated BLACK FLAG worship, but subsequent tracks bring much more to the table. The angular changes and unusual melodies in "Upfront" and the strange, eastern-sounding riffs in "Sans Equity" recall the weird and wacky bands from the Red Decibel and Twin Tone labels of the 80s and 90s. Plus, there's plenty of aggression -- the beefy basslines and wailing, single-note solos in "Prosecutors Will Be Violated" will get your blood flowin' head swaying faster than you can say, "Long live the suit!"

So if you can appreciate a sense of humor, and you're a fan of THE JESUS LIZARD or any of the above-mentioned punkish midwestern weirdness, there's a new kid on the block that just might tickle your fancy. Looking forward to great things from these guys in the future.
