Yeaaaaah baby. Whether it's conceived in Stoke On Trent or in sweltering 97 degree Texas heat, there's little that I find more musically exciting than loud, obnoxious, frantic hardcorepunk. KEGCHARGE starts off like a rusty chunk of iron, kicked up by a semi and crackin' yer windshield at 80 mph. 9 short tracks, and it never lets up. NEVER! On the whole an excellent take on your favorite early EPs from Tez 'n Bones, KEGCHARGE features members of like-minded southwestern punks WORLD BURNS TO DEATH. The drums have that tumbling, five-bricks-in-the-dryer kind of sound like the early CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER records and I fucking love it. Stuff like this always reminds me of early 80s days of yore, when I'd tape VENOM and HELLHAMMER records for the punks in my high school art class. They'd let me borrow their trashed, faded, and stained GBH cassettes. I could barely get a decent copy out of their shoplifted wares. Sure, these guys aren't going to win any awards for originality, but who cares? It's shrill and it's raw and your ears deserve to be put through a wheat-thresher of an album like this. Blasters like "Medal of Honor" will have you wondering why any guitar solo needs to be longer than two bars to melt your face off. CD pressing limited to 1000 copies, LP limited to 2200, so get on it.
