Lion Music people - I suffered thru VENTURIA and now you want me to suffer thru SPHERE OF SOULS? Well, you can eat my ass! There is no way in the world that I am going to ruin my Sunday any more than it already has been. This is the same as that other band but with a slightly better guitar sound. So, if you actually care (and I know you don't) you can read the VENTURIA review. After you are done with that I command the unrighteous brothers at Lion Music read my open letter to shitty bands. I can guarantee the folks at Lion Music (aka the vortex of suck) are reading this because aside from the C-tier local weekly and obscure-o websites, nobody is reviewing their garbage releases. And, to both you and the bands, don't waste your time or mine on an email about how wrong I am and what a dick I am. I'm not and I know.

This, and the other release we got from them, just reminds me of that time period between the JOHNNY THUNDERS look-alikes playing KISS lite ala POISON and TRIXTER and the lumberjack-offs from Seattle (ok some of that was ok). That time when you had a serious attempt to push off "cerebral rock" ala QUEENSRYCHE, KINGS X, and DREAM THEATER on the masses. I know some of my fellow writers dig that shite and I am ruffling feathers but I do not care. The worst they can do is boot me, and, as much as the turds at this label and other similar crappy labels (Candlelight) would love that, I do believe that there is a level of mutual respect/agreement to disagree around here.

I just looked at the Lion Music website. The fact that they use Café Press to make their label merch says it all. It's total low-rent (in a bad way) no-style crap. It looks, sounds, and feels like a label that would have those crummy cds that are only sold in guitar shops. You know, the ones on the counter in a display box with the really bad cover of the band photoshopped over a picture of a sunburst or some sort of weird weather. The guy behind the counter will tell you how epic and soul-stirring it is while stroking his goatee and reading a STEVIE RAY VAUGHN guitar tab book. Someone please go to fucking Finland and shoot these motherfuckers. I got $5.00 on it! At least give them a fucking swirlie! I feel dumber and dirty for having looked at their website. I could go on and on about how horrible it all is but if you're really curious about how bad it is I’m sure Peacedogman will include an mp3 of the suckitude.
