  • A really bad recording of a killer group.

  • The debut by this Michigan 3-piece has a tight, snarly garage punk vibe that tells me that these guys would be a treat to capture live but we have a problem. The ever perplexing conundrum of all things one might ponder while listening to this “release” is why the fuck did Dead Beat not get these guys into a real (reel, ha) recording studio. Someone could have at least lent them better mics or something. This recording is way to shrill to appreciate. This fidelity here is more that of a shitty practice tape than even a demo from way back. I have accumulated boxes of both over the last two decades so I should know! There is hardly any audible bass guitar and the drums sound like total doo doo. The bio goes on and on about how incredible it is that these guys are able to get anything done in a small town. One thing they could not achieve was a decent recording. If they were to get into a studio proper they might get results similar to the greatness of label mates DEAN DIRG and then we are talkin’. Until then, I’ll have to pass on this.
