  • Short releases may yield short reviews, but pay close attention to this one anyway! Enclosed in this half hour of power is some of the most lethal rock to be found on the planet. The first offender is Maryland's IRON BOSS, a group of tattoo artists by day (reason enough to like 'em from the get-go!). The four tracks they provide hit the listener over the head with gritty punk-fueled fuzz that's made the area famous. They've even attracted the attention of hometown hero Wino, who adds his personal touch to the GRAND FUNK cover "Walk like a Man". The second in this one-two punch is Belgium's biker rockers BAD PREACHERS, with a sound that fills the room with the smell of leather, booze and burnt rubber. The track "White Thrash Motherfucker" would bring a tear to Lemmy's eye, and the blues-drenched "Travellin' Man" clearly establishes that these are not guys to fuck with.

Basically, there ain't nothing bad to say about this one other than the short duration and the format, both of which could detract some folks. But for those who like their rock dangerous and have a fully-functional turntable, place your order with Rock 'n Roll Radio Records pronto.
