The second release from Oakland, California's INSTANT ASSHOLE is seven inches of manic, hardcore punk. Every song (the longest one clocking in at an epic minute and 54,) is a sucker punch to sobriety.

Musically, there isn't much to comment about on "DUI or Die," but there is a certain undeniable charm evident in the band's belligerent and obnoxious attitude. Songs like "Totally Fucked" and "Fight to Fight" make the most of their brevity, with shifting tempos and comparatively varied song structures. The INSTANT ASSHOLE recipe for success is most clearly presented in the track "Bulemic Alcoholic," which is almost entirely comprised of stomach-turning audio samples of a guy cracking a beer open, drinking, and later, vomiting.

As you can probably imagine, "DUI of Die" isn't for the squeamish, but expect all the assholes out there to be instantly satisfied with this one. So drink up, ya pussy!
