Some things are sacred in this household. The loving memory of Bon Scott is one of them. Y’all picked the wrong man’s emotions to toy with and now yer gonna pay!!! I was actually going to give this disc a second listen and really try to give it a chance but then I read your goddamn bio which I can’t even use for scratch paper because I am so insulted. Seriously! This is why I hate band bios.

Their version : “For fans of : The HELLACOPTERS, AC/DC, WOLFMOTHER, QOTSA, BLACK SABBATH , THE CULT, and THE REPLACEMENTS.”

My version: “For fans of : later TURBONEGRO’s warmed-over third and fourth rehashings of KISS riffs with a mall punk edge, bar bands that want to “rock you” by dressing up as “rock trash” but coming off looking like pretty boy versions of them carnies you always hear about getting busted for jailbait, the band WAX, diet soda, light beer, softcore porn, well done steaks, unseasoned food, milk.”

The whole album is one cliché after another yawned over the slickest, most vacuous attempt at rock n roll I have heard in ages. It seriously sounds like a buncha studio hacks laying the chops down. No emotion, no grit, no balls. The vocalist sounds like he’s trying to be the American Idol ideal of a “rocker”. No guts.

THE HELLACOPTERS didn’t give a fuck and it showed. When they started polishing up it got kinda boring but circa “Grande Rock” or “Payin The Dues” they woulda wiped the floor with em.

AC/DC, even now, makes these nancy boys look like nancy boys.

WOLFMOTHER is a bad radio rock band like Jet and should be exterminated post haste.

QOTSA are without category and reason. That’s like using ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT or LOU REED as a reference point. Like “Ok, what album?”

SABBATH? Don’t make me laugh!

THE CULT? “Electric” alone makes anything they ever did before or after great. This is not great.

THE REPLACEMENTS? Spare me! This band could never kick out something as ballsy as “Shiftless When Idle” let alone any of the Westerberg solo stuff. This band couldn’t just show up drunk and play. They would have to point it out. See “Medicate (Today)” fer proof of their infractions.

Final analysis : They remind me of WAX - a candyass poppy rockin punk esque band that was around for a second in the early 90’s. They always sucked balls and they always took the middle road in hopes that somebody would pick up on it. Nobody did. Nobody will on this either. If you want a rockin disc with some Masshole bad boys on it I suggest you get the new WARM JETS album - it has CJ Ramone on it but don’t get the wrong idea. One listen to their 45 on Acme will cleanse the mind of RAMONES references as they do the bad boy boogie all over yer ugly face.
